How to Delete Your RukaPay Account

Follow these steps carefully to permanently remove your account.

Warning: Deleting your account is irreversible. All your data will be lost.
  1. 1. Log In
    Open the RukaPay app and log in with your credentials.
  2. 2. Navigate to Settings
    Tap the (⚙️) icon in the top-left, then select ‘Settings’.
  3. 3. Account & Security
    Within Settings, tap ‘Account & Security’.
  4. 4. Delete Account
    Scroll down and tap ‘Delete Account’. You’ll see a confirmation screen.
  5. 5. Confirm Deletion
    Enter your pin and tap ‘Confirm Delete’. Your account and all data will be permanently removed.

Deleting Your RukaPay Account Will:

  • Remove your account from all devices. You’ll be logged out everywhere—mobile app, web, and any linked tablets.
  • Erase your transaction history. All past payments, transfers, and deposit records will be permanently deleted.
  • Unlink and delete your saved payment methods. Any stored cards or bank accounts are removed from our system.
  • Cancel any active subscriptions or payment plans. You’ll be taken out of all recurring payment schedules.
  • Remove you from any shared wallets or group payments. Your access and permissions in all joint accounts will be revoked.
  • Invalidate your backup archives. Encrypted backups of your data will be purged according to our 90-day retention policy (see data removal timeline).
  • Strip you of admin or moderator roles. If you created any community or merchant channels, they’ll be handed off to the next admin—or dissolved if none remain.
