How to Become a RukaPay Agent

  2. Submit your business registration and identification documents.
  3. Complete agent onboarding and training.
  4. Provide initial float capital (see below).

How Bulk Payments Work

The streamlined RukaPay payroll process

Employee Registration

The Finance Manager registers employees with essential details:

  • Full name and identification number
  • Department and job title
  • Gross monthly salary
  • Preferred payment method (bank or mobile money)
  • Account or mobile wallet number

Payroll Generation

For each payment cycle, the Finance Manager:

  • Selects the applicable month
  • Inputs deductions:
    • Loan Repayments
    • Salary Advances
    • Other Deductions (penalties, taxes, etc.)
  • System calculates: Net Salary = Gross Salary - (Loan + Advance + Other Deductions)
  • Generates payroll with "Pending Review" status

Review & Verification

The Chief Finance Officer (CFO):

  • Reviews all payroll entries
  • Verifies financial accuracy and policy compliance
  • Coordinates corrections with Finance Manager if needed
  • Marks payroll as "Checked"

Executive Approval

The Chief Executive Officer (CEO):

  • Performs final approval of payroll
  • Confirms compliance with strategic requirements
  • Updates status to "Ready for Payment"

Disbursement

The Finance Manager:

  • Initiates disbursement of approved payroll

    • Bank transfer
